eCarTec 2010 - 2nd International Trade Fair for Electric Mobility

Siemens will be present at the most important trade fair for electric mobility, eCarTec, which is to be held in Munich from October 19 to 21. eCarTec München, the trade fair for electric mobility, brings together all current developments and technologies in the sectors, including: electric vehicles, energy market, storage technology, drive trains, vehicle construction and finances at one trade fair.

Siemens will also be presenting a test track for putting Stormster through its paces. They are also showing an electric car and different models of charging terminal to demonstrate charging technologies and components, as well as simulating the charging process, communication between car and grid, data processing and billing.

Siemens begins field testing with its own electric car fleet

Siemens AG is starting its own large-scale fleet test with electrical vehicles. One hundred employees will test the cars in everyday use. The first 20 vehicles will be put into service in late November, ten each in Erlangen and Munich, and the others will follow in the months thereafter at both locations as well as in Berlin.

Premiere at the Siemens Pavilion: 105 years of electromobility in Berlin - Pioneering achievements – from historic electric taxis to mobility infrastructures for the future

Siemens showed pioneering achievements in electromobility at an exceptional event held at Potsdamer Platz in Berlin. The company presented for the first time an exact replica of the historic “Electric Victoria” – an electric car that was used in Berlin as an elegant hotel taxi beginning in 1905. The event also highlighted modern electric cars, an electric motorcycle, charging stations and other exhibits offering a look at the present and future of electromobility.
