Siemens and Volvo Car Corporation intend to jointly cooperate in the development of electric cars. The two companies will be developing and integrating electrical drive technology, power electronics and charging technology in the Volvo C 30 Electric. The first electric cars fitted with Siemens technology will already be on the test tracks at the end of this year, by the end of 2012 Volvo will be delivering up to 200 cars for the Siemens internal test fleet.
