Siemens-Disney Alliance

Siemens and the Walt Disney Company entered into a 12-year strategic alliance in 2005, bringing together a premier global technology and infrastructure company and the world’s leading family entertainment company.

Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Strategic Marketing and Technology Alliance

The alliance includes Siemens’ sponsorship of several shows and attractions, including “Spaceship Earth,”– an Epcot icon – as well as Epcot’s nightly fireworks program, “IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth”.

While Walt Disney Parks and Resorts already used a range of Siemens products and technologies, the alliance agreement expanded the relationship and paved the way for the two companies to broaden their technical collaborations across several platforms, including theme parks, resorts, cruise ships, and other lines of business.

As part of the alliance, Siemens sponsors several attractions at Walt Disney World Resort, including the Epcot icon, Spaceship Earth and the adjoining Project Tomorrow post-show area, which includes 9,000 square feet of interactive exhibits based on Siemens technology. Other attractions sponsored by Siemens include the nightly light show, IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth [Epcot], the holiday light show, Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights [Disney’s Hollywood Studios], both shows are at the Walt Disney World® Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.

Additional sponsorships include a technology showcase at the Innoventions pavilion in Disneyland®, and the iconic "It’s a small world" attraction at the Disneyland theme park in Anaheim, California. Additionally, the companies are working together to further develop new technologies across a range of platforms, and explore ways to integrate some of Siemens technologies into Disney’s current and future attractions and resorts, both domestic and international.

Siemens is proud of its multi-year alliance with perhaps one of the most iconic American brands ever—Disney. Our ongoing alliance with the Walt Disney Company has shown that our two companies are committed to innovation and has offered us the ideal opportunity to demonstrate how Siemens’ cutting-edge solutions and services are making a difference at the company generations of Americans have come to know as the place where dreams come true.
