Each labeled product must have an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) published which includes a robust Life Cycle Impact Assessment (LCIA). It has to be compliant with substance regulations by avoiding substances of concern.
Our goal: All Siemens production facilities and buildings worldwide are to achieve a net-zero carbon footprint by 2030. Today, all Siemens EcoTech products are manufactured using 100% renewable electricity.
Increase ease of repair and maintenance through: characteristics, availability, modularity and compatibility with commonly available spare parts. Availability of repair and maintenance instructions plus use of standard components.
Process of enhancing the functionality, performance or capacity of a product. An upgrade to a product may involve changes to its software, firmware and/or hardware.
Product circularity instruction indicating the ability of a product to be disassembled.
Ability of component parts, materials or both to be separated and reprocessed from products and systems and subsequently used as material input for the same or different use or function.
Process of returning product after end of use-phase for further modification within Siemens.
