Energy supply flexibility

The increased use of volatile energy sources and the associated price fluctuations pose challenges for companies - but also offer opportunities. The energy system of the future will require flexibility from producers and consumers. Intelligent solutions to make the energy supply more flexible can reduce the costs of grid usage and energy supply.

A digital display shows upward trending graphs, symbolizing growth and efficiency. Below the main illustration are two icons: one depicting a power grid with lightning bolts, and another showing a complex network or smart grid.

Optimizing grid charges with intelligent load management

With targeted, higher-level load management of electricity generation, storage and consumption, you can meet the requirements of intensive or atypical grid usage and significantly reduce your grid usage fees. Based on a load profile analysis, we create a customized concept to reduce your grid fees. We also take on the design, planning and implementation of the technical systems in load management, e.g. CHP systems, battery storage or power-to-heat systems.

Application example: Innovative heat generation with power-to-heat process and intelligent load management

The Breitenburger Milchzentrale developed a comprehensive energy strategy with the energy experts from Siemens. At the heart of the solution is an efficient power-to-heat process including connection to an automated load management system (Desigo). With the help of load management, the requirements of intensive grid usage are met - and 250,000 euros in grid charges are saved each year.

Achieve favorable prices on the energy market with flexible systems

Benefit from the mechanisms of the energy market and use flexible operation of your systems to reduce your costs. We examine and plan the options for flexible operation of energy generation and consumption systems and implement them at your location. Both the active marketing of electricity volumes on the intraday spot market and the passive optimization of energy supply plants in relation to the day-ahead market can be part of the solution. We focus on flexible systems for electricity and heat supply (CHP systems, heat pumps, boilers, chillers) and storage systems (battery and heat storage). This is flanked by our services to ensure ongoing energy price optimization.

Application example: Innovative energy generation and storage concept with higher-level load management

Together with VARTA, Siemens developed a comprehensive concept to modernize energy generation. At the same time, the battery manufacturer's proven technology was to be integrated in order to create an innovative solution. A higher-level energy and load management system was set up for this purpose. It regulates the systems based on forecasts so that intensive grid usage is guaranteed.
