John Kowal

President, Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc. & Head of the Americas, Siemens Healthineers

As the President of Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc. and Head of the Americas, John is responsible for leading the marketing, sales, service, and support functions in North America and Latin America, across the entire Siemens Healthineers portfolio, including medical imaging, laboratory diagnostics, therapy solutions, and services.

John has over 25 years of commercial and general management experience in the healthcare sector with a focus on medical devices, oncology-based medical software, cloud hosted solutions and surgical sciences. Previously, John served as President of the Americas for Varian Medical Systems, a division of Siemens Healthineers focused on oncology. He had profit and loss responsibility for North America and Latin America, including service, sales, applications training, marketing, and business operations, with an emphasis on initiatives to promote broader access to high-quality cancer care.

During his tenure at Varian, John built a successful track record of driving customer satisfaction and loyalty, setting strategy, exceeding revenue and order budget targets, and building, improving, and training direct and distributor-based organizations to meet ever-changing market dynamics in the healthcare sector.

John earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, Massachusetts. He currently resides with his wife and two children in Dallas, Texas.
