Brie Sachse is Chief External Affairs Officer for Siemens USA, where she leads the company’s engagement across the policy, regulatory, industry and stakeholder ecosystems that shape Siemens’ success. Based in Washington, D.C., she connects business priorities to external affairs strategy, helping advance a coordinated legislative, regulatory and stakeholder engagement agenda in support of Siemens’ work across infrastructure, manufacturing, transportation, technology and workforce.
With more than 20 years of experience in local, state and federal government operations, Brie leads a team focused on influencing policy and regulation, strengthening stakeholder engagement, providing policy foresight and market intelligence, and supporting market access, regulatory readiness and strategic partnerships. Since joining Siemens in 2013, she has held senior leadership roles spanning public affairs, state and local government affairs, and enterprise strategy, developing a deep understanding of Siemens’ technology portfolio, business needs and external operating environment.
Brie serves on Siemens USA’s leadership team and helps shape the company’s engagement with policymakers, industry associations, regional partners and strategic influencers nationwide. She brings enterprise leadership experience, trusted government relationships and strategic judgment to Siemens USA’s efforts to take a more intentional, coordinated and business-aligned approach to external engagement.
Prior to Siemens, Brie served in the Obama-Biden Administration at the U.S. Department of Transportation as Assistant Administrator for Public Affairs and Communications at the Federal Aviation Administration and Director of Public Affairs at the Federal Railroad Administration. Earlier in her career, she served as Chief of Staff to Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, helping drive policy matters and key legislative priorities while managing stakeholder relationships to advance the administration’s vision and goals. Before joining the City of Orlando, Brie spent two years at the strategic communications firm Curley & Pynn.
Brie is a recognized leader in the policy and business community. She serves on the Executive Committee for the Information Technology Industry Council and the Board of Directors for the Global Business Alliance. She is also on the Board of Governors for Ford’s Theatre and the Carlton Club and is Immediate Past Chair of the U.S. Conference of Mayors Business Council. Brie is a member of Economic Club of Washington and served as a commissioner for the Atlantic Council’s Geotech Commission on AI.
Brie received her B.A. in Public Relations from the University of Central Florida and her M.A. in Corporate Communications from Rollins College.
