Ann Fairchild is interim President and CEO of Siemens USA, the company’s largest market. In this role, she helps guide Siemens’ strategy and engagement across the United States, where the company employs approximately 45,000 people in all 50 states and Puerto Rico and generated $21.1 billion in revenue in fiscal year 2024.
With more than 25 years at Siemens, Ms. Fairchild is a trusted advisor who balances business growth with risk management. She builds high-performing, engaged teams and has shaped Siemens’ trajectory through her expertise in corporate governance, M&A, regulatory compliance, and enterprise risk management.
Prior to her current role, Ms. Fairchild served for eight years as General Counsel of Siemens USA, overseeing legal, compliance, regulatory, and intellectual property functions. She and her team helped the company navigate complex regulatory environments while seizing strategic opportunities. She also served as General Counsel of Siemens Gas and Power, leading a 500-person global legal and compliance organization and playing a pivotal role in the carve-out and public listing of Siemens Energy. Earlier, she was General Counsel of Dresser-Rand, a Siemens company, where she managed the integration of the business following Siemens’ acquisition in 2015. From 2008 to 2013, she was General Counsel for the Oil & Gas Division of Siemens AG, based in Duisburg, Germany, with global responsibility for the division’s legal affairs.
Ms. Fairchild is a member of the Siemens Corporation Board of Directors and the Board of the German American Business Council, where she engages in transatlantic business dialogues with policymakers, business leaders, and the diplomatic community.
She began her Siemens career with Siemens Power Generation Inc. in 1999. She was an associate with McGuire Woods in McLean, Virginia, and clerked for the Honorable Tommy Miller, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
Ms. Fairchild holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce (Finance) from the University of Virginia and a J.D. from the College of William & Mary School of Law. She resides in McLean, Virginia, with her family.
