Maisel is known for its wheat beer classic, Maisel’s Weisse, and for modern specialties from Maisel & Friends. Both are served in a unique setting: the Liebesbier Restaurant offers over 80 bottled beers and 21 on tap, paired with dishes made from regional ingredients. Guests who stay overnight enjoy a blend of historic charm and modern architecture – featuring artwork by more than 60 international street artists across 67 uniquely styled rooms. Yet, with an infrastructure with 130 years of history, fire safety concerns arise.

Adapted to special needs

A place built for indulgence needs exquisite protection. When it came to modernizing the site, fire safety was at the top of the agenda. The concept had to meet complex demands: historic buildings, different uses, and challenging environmental conditions. Open flames, alcohol, and hot surfaces in the restaurant and show kitchen created serious fire and explosion hazards. The solution had to protect guests, staff, and valuable equipment without disrupting the experience.

To ensure that people can be led quickly out of a possible dangerous situation, comprehensive detection and alerting in the various buildings is essential. In the hotel, restaurant, show kitchen, coffee factory, brewing workshop and the event rooms, the Sinteso fire alarm systemfor monitoring and alerting. Automatic and non-automatic detectors and signal transmitters are used depending on the environment and networked in the various buildings.

With smart fire safety in place, Maisel & Friends can focus on what truly matters: brewing exceptional beer and making guests feel at home.
