DIN 14675 describes the different phases for the construction and operation of fire alarm systems. The documentation of each phase is prescribed as the basis for the work of the subsequent phase. The safety and fire protection concept and derived from it the fire alarm concept is the basis for the construction and operation of a fire alarm system. The client / builder / operator of a building is obliged to provide such a fire alarm concept before the planning phase.
What is the content of a fire detection and alarm concept?
The fire alarm and alarm concept implements the specifications from the fire protection concept for plant fire protection and special requirements for a planned fire alarm system with a fire alarm. It refers to the planned use of the building and takes into account official requirements, environmental conditions, structural and operational conditions, the alarm organisation and possible disturbances. It defines the range of functions and systems and thus forms the task description for the planning of a fire alarm and alarm system.
The operator is responsible for the fire detection and alarm concept, who determines the measures together with the responsible authorities, the planner and, if necessary, with the installer of the BMA and SAA.
Creating a fire protection concept
When creating the fire protection concept, many factors must be taken into account and extensive information must be provided. To make this complex task easier for you, the German DIN Fire Brigade Standards Committee (FNFW) provides a new fire alarm and alarm concept template.
