Yes. Programs are bidirectionally compatible across all LOGO! generations via LOGO! Soft Comfort V9. Note that older expansion modules are not hardware-compatible with LOGO! 9, but all existing communication modules are fully compatible — no hardware replacement needed.

LOGO! 9 supports Modbus TCP/IP and MQTT out of the box, plus an integrated web server for browser-based monitoring and visualization — no custom solutions or additional hardware required.

Your existing programs transfer directly via LOGO! Soft Comfort V9. Communication modules can be reused without replacement. Only expansion modules need to be exchanged — the new DM8 and AM4 modules are available from April 2026, with further expansion modules following in Q1 2027.

LOGO! 9 has been orderable via the Siemens Industry Mall since April 17, 2026. First deliveries are planned to start in May 2026; the exact delivery date will be communicated soon.

At launch, the LOGO! 9 portfolio includes the key components needed to start building next-generation Everyday Automation applications: eight LOGO! 9 Basic Modules with and without display, the new LOGO! TDE, LOGO! Soft Comfort V9, and selected expansion modules including LOGO! DM8 230R, LOGO! DM8 12/24R, and the new LOGO! AM4 AI/AQ.

This makes LOGO! 9 a strong fit for small and growing automation tasks where customers need more performance, more I/O flexibility, clear on-machine visualization, simple connectivity, efficient engineering, and integrated security features — without adding unnecessary system complexity.

Additional expansion modules are planned for 2027, including further LOGO! DM8 and DM16 modules as well as analog expansion modules such as LOGO! AM2 RTD and LOGO! AM4 AQ.
