工件製造商

透過 Siemens 與機械製造商 DMG MORI 的合作,工件製造商如今能更便捷地取得進階數位化技術。

A clear path to digitalization

Workpiece manufacturers are facing increasing pressure to produce highly complex geometries with rapid turnaround times while maintaining consistent quality. The only way to survive – and thrive – is by adopting state-of-the-art machinery and embracing advanced digitalization technologies. A collaboration between Siemens and the machine builder DMG MORI is making such a digital transformation more accessible than ever. Rusch Maschinenteile, a German family-owned manufacturer of workpieces, is already reaping the benefits of this technological partnership.

Secure, efficient CNC via Digital Twin

See how a Digital Twin of CNC can streamline your parts manufacturing process.

Speed, quality, timeliness, innovation, flexibility, and sustainability are just some of the many challenges facing workpiece manufacturers today. DMG MORI, a global leader in machine tools, and Siemens are responding with a true technology partnership. Based on the digital native CNC SINUMERIK ONE and the DMG MORI Digital Twin one result is industry’s first, most comprehensive end-to-end Machining Digital Twin, available on the Siemens Xcelerator Marketplace. This offering includes Digital Twins of the controller, the customer-specific DMG MORI machine tool, and the workpiece.

The solution allows machining processes to be simulated and tested in a virtual environment before workpieces are actually manufactured. The result is significant improvements in productivity, efficiency and sustainability.

The Digital Twin enables up to 40 percent faster production ramp-up, helps prevent programming errors that cause collisions and thus scrap and machine damage. Furthermore, the offering minimizes unproductive machine times by up to 75 percent. This is because the testing and running-in of programs is moved from the real machine to the virtual world.

Teamwork makes the dreamwork

The collaboration between Siemens and DMG MORI is a product of the Siemens Xcelerator Ecosystem. The platform brings together players from startups, major industrial companies, and research institutions to work on solving complex, real-world challenges. Siemens Xcelerator fosters an open and inclusive environment that encourages interaction and joint creation. The focus is on connecting the real and virtual worlds to tackle concrete use cases. A selected portfolio of products, services, and solutions that emerge from the Siemens Xcelerator Ecosystem are made available on the Siemens Xcelerator Marketplace.

Partnerships within the ecosystem also address the evolving needs of small and medium-sized businesses by offering an accessible path toward digitalization. An example is Rusch Maschinenteile GmbH, a German family-owned manufacturer of workpieces.

Greater productivity with fewer manual tasks

Rusch Maschinenteile operates several DMG MORI machines in its production facilities in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The latest machine added to the fleet was a CTX beta 450 TC, which is capable of turning and milling, gear cutting, grinding, and in-process measuring. Moreover, this DMG MORI machine is controlled with Sinumerik One and is thus able to benefit from Digital Twin technology. Among the advantages are smooth operations, even when the machine is pushed to its limits. Through a reduction in cycle time, Rusch Maschinenteile has experienced around 20 percent higher performance.

Machine programming is now also more efficient, because data from the 3D model of a workpiece can be loaded into Sinumerik One. 3D Shopfloor Programming analyzes all relevant geometric characteristics and selects the appropriate machining cycles. This process eliminates up to 80 percent of manual programming tasks.

Rusch Maschinenteile is just one example of how the Siemens Xcelerator Ecosystem empowers businesses to thrive. With digitalization solutions readily available on the Siemens Xcelerator Marketplace, companies can now more easily meet market demands and drive sustainability.

當今產業面臨的主要挑戰,是如何跟上全球市場快速變化的需求,而數位化正是幫助我們做到這一點的關鍵。
