Which electrical equipment, batteries, or accumulators should be recycled?
All waste electrical equipment, batteries, and accumulators are subject to recycling. These items are marked with a crossed-out wheeled bin symbol on the packaging, warranty card, or user manual. This symbol indicates that the equipment, batteries, or accumulators must not be disposed of in regular trash bins, containers, or municipal waste. If the crossed-out bin symbol is accompanied by a chemical symbol such as Hg, Cd, or Pb, it means the battery or accumulator contains more than 0.0005% mercury, 0.002% cadmium, or 0.004% lead by weight.
Disposing of such marked items in municipal waste containers or in nature is strictly prohibited.
