Take back system

Siemens, s.r.o. is committed to environmental responsibility and cooperates with ASEKOL and ECOBAT to ensure ecological recycling of waste electrical equipment, batteries, and accumulators, conserving natural resources and reducing landfill waste.

Electrical equipment, batteries, and accumulators contain a large number of materials that have negative impacts on the environment and human health (e.g., lead, cadmium, or mercury). By handing over waste electrical equipment, batteries, and accumulators to collection points, we prevent the release of these harmful substances into the environment and at the same time enable their reuse.

Which electrical equipment, batteries, or accumulators should be recycled?

All waste electrical equipment, batteries, and accumulators are subject to recycling. These items are marked with a crossed-out wheeled bin symbol on the packaging, warranty card, or user manual. This symbol indicates that the equipment, batteries, or accumulators must not be disposed of in regular trash bins, containers, or municipal waste. If the crossed-out bin symbol is accompanied by a chemical symbol such as Hg, Cd, or Pb, it means the battery or accumulator contains more than 0.0005% mercury, 0.002% cadmium, or 0.004% lead by weight.

Disposing of such marked items in municipal waste containers or in nature is strictly prohibited.

Where to dispose of waste electrical equipment, batteries, or accumulators?

Waste electrical equipment, batteries, or accumulators can be handed over free of charge at all ASEKOL take-back locations, which cover the entire Czech Republic. You can find the nearest take-back (collection) point at www.asekol.cz/sberna-mista. By handing over waste electrical equipment, batteries, or accumulators at a take-back location, you ensure their ecological recycling.

Options for Disposing of Used Electrical Equipment

When delivering an order to the end user via a shipping service, you can take advantage of the option to dispose of used electrical equipment (one-for-one exchange). If you are interested in this service, please send your request along with the order number to: zpetnyodber.cz@siemens.com. This service is provided free of charge, based on invoicing and delivery of the same type of electrical equipment that the end user intends to return.

The collection of used electrical equipment can only be arranged if the service is requested within 14 days from the invoice date.

Recycling Fee

The recycling fee, i.e., the financial amount covering the ecological disposal of waste electrical equipment, is always included in the product price. The amount of this fee depends on the specific category of the electrical equipment and the pricing set by ASEKOL.
