Om je aankoopbeslissing gemakkelijker te maken, introduceert Siemens het nieuwe label: Siemens EcoTech. Het is een milieuverklaring voor onze producten, gebaseerd op productspecifieke evaluaties van KPI's die relevant zijn voor duurzaamheid.
Siemens EcoTech is een milieuproductprestatielabel dat is ontworpen om de duurzame transformatie van industrie en infrastructuur te stimuleren. Het label geeft je transparantie over de prestaties van onze gecertificeerde producten op basis van milieurelevante criteria, zodat je weloverwogen keuzes kunt maken om je duurzaamheidsdoelstellingen te ondersteunen.
De basis voor onze Siemens EcoTech-evaluatie is de Robust Eco Design-benadering. Het raamwerk biedt een uitgebreide reeks criteria voor drie dimensies die de volledige levenscyclus van het product bestrijken. Producten moeten voldoen aan verplichte vereisten en in elke dimensie aan minstens één criterium voldoen.
Ze moeten ook een transparante validatieverklaring verstrekken in het extern toegankelijke Siemens EcoTech-profiel. Dit zorgt voor maximale transparantie voor jou over de materialen, het ontwerp, de gebruiksfase en het einde van de levenscyclus van onze producten.
Each labeled product must have an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) published which includes a robust Life Cycle Impact Assessment (LCIA). It has to be compliant with substance regulations by avoiding substances of concern.

The Siemens Robust Eco Design (RED) approach provides the foundation for integrating ecodesign systematically into our product development and allows us to derive ecodesign specifications that are advantageous from an environment point of view while meeting our own sustainability goals as well as those of our customers and suppliers.
To provide maximum transparency, we have created the Siemens EcoTech Profile (SEP) for all Siemens EcoTech products. It is a Siemens-created, standardized product data sheet which gives insight about the product performance in environmental relevant criteria as well as about interpretation and comparison of data against an existing norm, standard or predecessor product.
