User Management and Access Control

With the integrated User Management and Access Control (UMAC) system, you can reliably protect your drives against unauthorized access by defining who is allowed to perform which actions.

Secure by default

Only the essential functions are activated and already configured with secure default settings. If required, you can further adjust or tighten these settings using the Security Assistant to enhance security even more.

Integrity and authenticity check

This protects against loading of untrusted or manipulated firmware and data into the drive.

Security events can be stored locally on the drive and/or sent to a syslog server for analyses of possible attacks.

Vulnerability management

Provides transparency on security gaps: You receive active notifications about critical vulnerabilities and can take immediate countermeasures.

Robust & protected communication

Ensures secure vertical communication, for example between TIA Portal or Web Client and the drive, IIoT communication via OPC UA, as well as the transmission of security events via Syslog.
