1. Operating system:

• The download should be done from a computer running Windows 10 or higher. In addition, the current Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable must be installed, which is already given by default in most cases

2. File format:

• You will receive the TIA Selection Tool as a ZIP archive. It only needs to be unpacked. You do not need any special installation rights

3. Storage location for TIA Selection Tool:

• The storage location must not be in a Windows system directory! Please do NOT unpack here: C:\\Windows, C:\\ProgramData, C:\\Programs and C:\\Programs(x86)
• The program directory ....\\SelectionTool must not contain any of the user's own folders or files, to avoid data loss during the update process
• Although it is possible to store TIA Selection Tool on a remote network folder or on OneDrive, we recommend storing it on a local drive. Otherwise, problems can occur if the connection is lost. In addition, performance problems are possible
• It is possible to operate TIA Selection Tool from a USB stick or USB drive. However, this can lead to performance problems

4. Virtual Client (VC) and Virtual Machine (VM)

• We cannot guarantee that the TIA Selection Tool will run in a virtual environment
