Smart technology supports scalability

AESC integrates a range of technologies into its battery production lines, including automation frameworks, simulation tools, and Enterprise Resource Planning systems, all with support from Siemens.

A key challenge for manufacturers is aligning inputs from multiple OEM tool builders into a cohesive, efficient production system. Proper timing and sequencing of these tools are critical for engineering teams to simulate and replicate performance on the production floor. Siemens’ specialized technology and expertise has been employed to help standardize solutions, improve efficiency, and support scalability.

Siemens’ Tecnomatix Plant Simulation software models utility demands and identifies risks early in the design phase, supporting both production planning and sustainability targets. It also provides insight into how energy usage at individual tool levels impacts automation.

Desigo CC, is an integrated building management platform that centralizes control of diverse building systems. It optimizes energy efficiency, enhances occupant comfort and safety and provides comprehensive monitoring and data analysis for smart, sustainable operations. Its Scalability was beneficial for AESC by ensuring future proof considerations to include Plant and Site Security, Fire, Access, Safety and much more as the plant expands.

Real-world results

The collaboration between AESC and Siemens goes beyond technology- it’s accelerating industrial growth while shaping the future of sustainable battery manufacturing and infrastructure.

Through process optimization, the partnership has identified critical parameters for scaling production, thereby laying the foundation for smarter, more adaptable manufacturing systems.

Together, the two companies have delivered real-world results, powering more than 1 million electric vehicles and contributing over 15 GWh of installed energy storage capacity in 60+countries. These outcomes reflect scale and a shared commitment to innovation, efficiency, and to achieving AESC’s global ambition.

AESC is deploying many battery facilities across the globe and likewise Siemens is working globally to ensure the iteration and betterment of the AESC production capabilities match their market.
