100% Transparency Movement

We Continue to Trust in the Transparency and Integrity of Our Business

What is the 100% Transparency Movement?

With the goal of going beyond legal obligations, Siemens joined the first and largest corporate transparency initiative in Brazil during the UN Global Compact event in Brazil. This commitment represents:

  • 100% transparency in interactions with Public Administration;
  • 100% integrity in senior management compensation;
  • 100% of the high-risk value chain trained in Integrity;
  • 100% transparency of Compliance and Governance structure;
  • 100% transparency about reporting channels.

Check more information about the Global Compact.

The Movement Proposed 5 Goals That All Participating Companies Must Meet by 2030

Goal 1: Transparency in Interactions with Public Administration

Our dedicated Government Affairs space can be found at this link. This website highlights our guidelines for government affairs and responsible approaches in political and lobbying fields.

In the context of advocacy activities, we focus on key points and policy areas, including cybersecurity, digitalization (such as Internet of Things/IoT and artificial intelligence/AI), decarbonization and combating climate change, energy, research and development/innovation, trade policy, and automated mobility in rail and road transport.

Goal 2: 100% Integrity in Senior Management Compensation

Siemens establishes rigorous integrity standards in its variable compensation policy for senior management. These criteria are thoroughly detailed in our Managing Board Compensation Report, accessible at this link and, in Portuguese, accessible at this other link. This report transparently presents our variable compensation program, which is directly linked to ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles.

The evaluation of these criteria is conducted through an internal ESG/sustainability index, considering aspects such as customer satisfaction, carbon emissions reduction, and investment in training. Additionally, our DEGREE framework establishes clear and measurable goals, as highlighted in the Siemens 2024 Institutional and ESG Report.

Goal 3: 100% of High-Risk Value Chain Trained in Integrity

At Siemens, we empower 100% of our high-risk value chain in integrity practices. All our suppliers and business partners are signatories to our Code of Conduct. Furthermore, we ensure that all our high-risk Business Partners receive anti-corruption training and that our contracts contain compliance clauses.

There are ongoing initiatives to expand training, such as from WEF and others that we support and participated in creating, like the compliance training for small and medium enterprises, developed in partnership with Sebrae:

- Tailored Compliance - Sebrae

- Take the ICC-Sebrae Integrity Training for SMEs - ICC Brazil

- Sebrae and ICC Brazil launch training on integrity and compliance | ASN Nacional - Sebrae News Agency (agenciasebrae.com.br)

Goal 4: Transparency of Compliance and Governance Structure

Goal 5: Transparency about Reporting Channels

Compliance 2024 in Numbers

In fiscal year 2024, 417 alleged compliance violations requiring further inquiries or investigations were reported. In the same year, the total number of disciplinary measures imposed for compliance violations was 200. A special directive protects Siemens employees who report misconduct in good faith and to the best of their knowledge from company retaliation.
