Siemens Graduate Programme

The individual start date depends on your availability as well as demand in the respective country. We recommend that you check vacancies on a quarterly basis. These will be published as soon as they are available. In principle, applications and recruitments are possible throughout the year.

The mentor plays an important role in making the programme successful and a good and valuable experience for you. To support you personally and to develop your potential, mentors offer regular touchpoints with SGP Participants. Furthermore, assignment planning is coordinated by the development manager taking into consideration the business demand and competencies that need to be established, while the mentor shares personal expertise and experience by reflecting on opportunities and growth goals with you.

In general, at least one assignment abroad is planned. Being a global company, the assignment abroad will prepare you for an important aspect of our culture. We will support you in selecting the best destination for your assignment abroad so that you can get the most out of it. We try to ensure this also during the pandemic, but of course we need to adapt to the current requirements and the international travel restrictions.

If the SGP is not available in your selected country, or if there are no open positions, it is possible to apply to other countries. Please check the country requirements above and please note, you should only apply to a different country if this meets your career aspirations and you can get a work authorisation. You can also view your local careers page for other development programmes or entry-level opportunities.

Being part of the Siemens Graduate Programme means you’re a real Siemens employee with a regular permanent employment contract. The conditions of this contract depend on local requirements and regulations. It’s important to point out that the SGP is not an internship programme.

You’ll work directly within our divisions and experience different areas, such as product development and distribution, product management and marketing, manufacturing, project management, or procurement and logistics. Ultimately these are decided by your interests and qualifications as well as our business requirements.

The Siemens Graduate Programme gives you the chance to make an excellent start to your career with a wide range of prospects through various assignments in your home country and abroad, as well as comprehensive training and mentoring. A key advantage of the programme is that it is tailored to your strengths and skills as well as to the needs of the respective company. Immediately after the SGP, you will take on your first challenging position. However, your individual career path always depends on your own initiative as well as your motivational strength.

This greatly depends on your performance and interests during the programme. You’ll discuss this with your development manager throughout and they will support you in your transition once the programme comes to an end. You may be offered a position in your home country or abroad based on availability. We’ll support you in either an expert career, management career or project management career.
