Established in 1998, the Siemens Foundation has invested $165 million in the United States to support the development of U.S. workers by scaling best-practices and investing in workforce training and education. Our goal is a more just and prosperous society for all. Through partnerships with national organizations, we work to improve individual lives and local communities.
The Siemens Foundation launched its workforce development efforts in 2015 to help close the opportunity gap for young adults in technical careers. Leveraging the experience and expertise of Siemens as an industry leader and pioneer in workforce development, the Foundation identified this crucial area as a place where we can have an important impact on America's workforce.
We believe our responsibility as a corporate citizen requires us to increase awareness of health, economic, and social disparities for all Americans and to invest in organizations and programs that work to reduce and/or eliminate those challenges.
The Siemens Career Path and Siemens Merit Scholarship Programs award scholarships proportionally based on economic need and test scores to children of non-exempt and exempt employees at Siemens companies.

The Siemens Foundation has launched Careers Electric™, a national initiative to expand access to high quality electrical training and create clear pathways into well-paying, in demand electrical careers. Designed to meet the nation’s accelerating electrification needs, Careers Electric™ equips students and workers with the technical, digital, and safety skills required across today’s rapidly evolving energy and infrastructure sectors. The initiative aims to train 15,000 people in its first 10 years through a modern, scalable approach that prepares the skilled electrical professionals essential to powering America’s future.
