Gender equity

All our people, regardless of gender, are encouraged to thrive at Siemens. We strive for equitable opportunities across our organization — for example, through gender equity and fair-pay practices.

Welcoming all our people

We believe that equitable opportunities are fundamental to fostering a fair and inclusive workplace. Here are some examples of how we support gender equity:

  • Through our global Gender Equity Program*, we strive to create equitable opportunities across our entire organization.
  • Through our global pay parity program, we follow the principle of “equal pay for equal work” — meaning equal wages for women and men in the same role and location. And we continue monitoring pay parity to eliminate any unfair differences.
  • In fiscal year 2025, about 34,000 employees held management positions at Siemens. The percentage of women in management positions was 23%. Our global share of women in top management positions rose to 33.3% in fiscal 2025.
  • More than 30 women’s employee resource groups (ERGs) provide mutual support, career connections and mentoring for our people all around the world — welcoming all genders, allies and champions.
  • We actively look farther and wider to attract the best and broadest array of qualified talents — internally and externally — and ensure inclusive and fair attraction and hiring practices.
  • We highlight positive role models through campaigns, such as the #BeSeen video series.
  • We invest in mentorship, sponsorship, and leadership programs for all genders and generations, as well as flexible working options.

*Siemens USA is not in scope for this program. Siemens complies with all applicable local laws in the implementation of the Gender Equity Program.

Our BeSeen campaign spotlights role models

Diverse teams don’t just perform better — they lead the way. They make smarter decisions, drive greater innovation and deliver stronger results. While the technology field continues to evolve, encouraging broader participation of women and girls helps ensure that everyone has the opportunity to succeed based on their skills and potential. When people see others succeeding in this field, it reinforces the message that a successful career in tech is possible for anyone. Representation of all genders isn’t just inspiring — it’s transformative.

Actions speak louder than words

Across the company, in every role and function, we share the responsibility of fostering opportunities in STEM for all our people and those who seek to join our team someday.

UN Women & AGCCI

The African Girls Can Code Initiative (AGCCI) is a collaboration between Siemens, UN Women and African communities that helps young women realize their career dreams through education, mentoring and hands-on experience.

China: Women in Tech

In 2019, Siemens China established the Women in Tech (WiT) Community, a platform for women leaders and potential leaders from a range of fields, including sales, R&D, engineering, customer service and production.

Girls’ Day

On Girls’ Day 2025, we welcomed young female talents to our sites across Germany to explore Siemens technologies and career path opportunities. With hands-on sessions and inspiring talks, they took their first step into STEM.

At Siemens, our global belonging initiatives operate in accordance with all applicable laws.
