Start with the signals you need
Use the Basic Module for a small installation and extend it when additional sensors, actuators or measuring points are required.
Not every project needs its final I/O configuration on day one. LOGO! 9 makes it possible to begin with a Basic Module and add compatible digital or analog channels as a project evolves. Expansion takes place directly at the controller, creating a flexible solution for compact machines, building functions and standalone installations.
Build an I/O configuration around the real application rather than choosing a larger controller too early.
Select matching digital extensions and analog modules for measurement and control tasks. The combined analog I/O module adds both signal directions in one device.
Modules connect through the LOGO! 9 expansion interface. A consistent modular arrangement helps simplify installation, maintenance and future adjustments.
System limits | Up to 16 compatible modules; up to 64 DI / 60 DQ / 16 AI / 16 AQ overall |
Digital modules | DM8 variants at initial LOGO! 9 launch; additional DM8 and DM16 variants planned |
Analog modules | LOGO! AM4 AI/AQ combines 2 AI and 2 AQ, with selectable resolution |
Interface | Direct local module connection through the expansion/backbone interface |
Planning | Match digital module voltage classes and observe supported module ordering |
Compatibility | LOGO! 8 generation I/O extensions are not compatible with LOGO! 9 Basic Modules |
Use the Basic Module for a small installation and extend it when additional sensors, actuators or measuring points are required.
LOGO! AM4 AI/AQ integrates two analog inputs and two analog outputs. Selectable resolution gives engineers options for analog value processing.
Convert existing LOGO! programs in Soft Comfort V9, then review the new hardware bill of materials. Replace older local expansions with compatible LOGO! 9 modules.
