Why NXPLUS C?

The factory-assembled, type-tested Siemens NXPLUS C fixed circuit-breaker switchgear is a versatile metal-enclosed, gas-insulated medium-voltage switchgear for indoor installation.

Available for single-busbar as well as double-busbar applications, NXPLUS C gas-insulated switchgear is used in transformer and switching substations in a vast range of power supply applications. It is also suited for marine applications on ships and platforms as it has been type-approved by the following classification societies:

The specially designed NXPLUS C Wind model has been adapted to the requirements of onshore and offshore wind turbines.

Switchgear vessels designed as sealed pressure systems, maintenance-free switching devices and enclosed cable plugs maximize supply reliability, enable installation and operation without SF6 gas work, and reduce operating costs.

Featured capabilities

Safety measures

Standard degree of protection IP65 for high-voltage parts, IP3XD for the switchgear enclosure according to IEC 60529 and high resistance to internal arcs. Panels are tested for resistance to internal faults up to 31.5 kA.

Environmental independence

Welded switchgear vessels and single-pole solid insulation make the parts of the primary circuit under high voltage insensitive to certain ambient conditions, tight to ingress of foreign objects and independent of site altitude.

Secure operation

Among other features, logical mechanical interlocks prevent maloperation and there is a de-earthing lockout when the fuse cover is removed. Our vessels are sealed for life, type- and routine-tested and have a minimum fire load.
