The existing linear robot system had reached its limit for cycle time reduction in panel breaking, turning, and reorienting operations. New delta robot technology had to be validated under real conditions and integrated during ongoing production – without downtime.

Pre-validate robotics through digital simulation

SCHOTT used Tecnomatix Process Simulate to pre-validate a delta picker robot concept in a virtual environment. The integrated solution combined Robot Control Suite, SIMATIC S7-1500T controller, SINAMICS S120 drives, SIMOTICS S-1FK2 servomotors, and SIMATIC Safe Kinematics – all seamlessly integrated into the existing Siemens automation environment via TIA Portal.
