Simcenter X is Siemens’ next-generation, cloud-powered simulation suite that unifies CFD, Mechanical, Systems, and MDAO domains. Unlike traditional on-premises solutions, Simcenter X offers flexible cloud deployment options, scalable licensing, integrated data management, and AI-powered support, all designed to simplify access, boost productivity, and accelerate innovation.

Simcenter X Advanced lets you install and run simulation software locally, but with cloud-powered licensing, data management and AI chat. Simcenter X - HPC and remote desktop (currently for CFD) provides a zero-install, browser-based experience with instant access to Siemens-managed HPC resources and remote desktop sessions for end-to-end simulation in the cloud.

Simcenter X covers Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Mechanical, Systems and Multidisciplinary Design Analysis & Optimization (MDAO). Supported applications include Simcenter STAR-CCM+, Simcenter 3D, Simcenter Femap, Simcenter Amesim and Simcenter HEEDS. 

Simcenter X uses a combination of named-user licenses (guaranteeing access to core tools for pre- and post-processing) and floating tokens (enabling solvers and advanced features on demand). Credits are used for time-based access to cloud-powered HPC resources (currently for CFD). This model provides flexibility, scalability and cost efficiency for teams of any size. All entitlements can be managed from the centralized cloud-powered Siemens Xcelerator Admin Console, making license management easier than ever.

Simcenter X includes built-in data management powered by Teamcenter X Essentials, providing secure, cloud-powered storage, versioning and collaboration. Siemens Xcelerator cloud platform ensures industry best practices for resilience, security and data privacy, so your data is protected at every step.  

You can easily add named users and tokens at any time through the Siemens Xcelerator Admin Console. Tokens can be allocated to individuals or groups and are globally shareable, allowing you to scale resources instantly as your project needs grow.

For Simcenter X Advanced, you install applications on your local hardware via Siemens Software Center and need a persistent internet connection for licensing. For Simcenter X - HPC and remote desktop (CFD), no installation is required, just a web browser and internet access. The platform is designed for easy deployment and minimal IT overhead.
