Siemens manufacturing plant in Fort Worth, TX

High-tech manufacturing plant helping power critical infrastructure.

Over the past several years, Siemens has invested more than $690 million on U.S. manufacturing, strengthening American industry and job creation.

A key part of that investment is the new Siemens facility in Fort Worth, Texas, a 500,000-square-foot, $190-million facility that represents a significant milestone in the company’s U.S. manufacturing strategy.

This new facility will produce essential electric components such as low-voltage switchboards necessary to meet the demand from the booming data center market and America’s AI growth. Designed as a model for energy-efficient manufacturing, the Fort Worth facility is carbon-neutral, featuring an all-electric powder coat paint line, electric forklifts, low-energy-consuming HVAC systems, advanced-energy monitoring and energy efficient vacuum-insulated LuxWall windows.

This new facility has created 480 jobs to date with plans to add 800 total to the local economy by 2026.

The opening of this new facility comes “on the heels of our Pomona, California Electrical Products facility expansion celebration and several other exciting manufacturing investments,” said Regional CEO of Electrical Products for Siemens Smart Infrastructure North America Barry Powell. “These two back-to-back openings underscore the importance of Siemens power distribution solutions to American infrastructure. Powering utilities, the construction industry, commercial facilities and, of course, data centers, we are scaling up to ensure U.S industry has the electrical foundation it needs to continue to stay competitive.”

The Fort Worth operation also showcases the best of Siemens industrial automation technology, featuring solutions from our Digital Industries portfolio. These include the plant’s OT network, SCADA system, stack lights, factory controls and PLCs and an Insights Hub. These automations drive industrial transformation and enable workers to assess the operations of all machines, using large volumes of collected data to create models and make strategic decisions.

To ensure the Fort Worth factory floor was optimized, Siemens leveraged its own cutting-edge Digital Industries Software’s Technomatix 3D-modeling solution in the design phase. Through process simulation, the software ensured the highest standards of efficiency and quality once equipment was installed and will continue to capture and analyze data from the shop floor in real-time.

This pivotal milestone in the expansion of Siemens capabilities illustrates our unwavering commitment to reinforcing America's industrial leadership and driving innovation. By advancing cutting-edge manufacturing and generating skilled jobs, Siemens is not only delivering American-made solutions but also meeting the country's growing electricity demand. It also underscores the company’s dedication to the White House’s "Made in America" vision and its proactive approach to the growing demand for critical American infrastructure.

The creation of our new Forth Worth site is just one part of the latest chapters in Siemens long history of strengthening the company’s American manufacturing footprint.

Our $690 million investment in American manufacturing over the past several years includes: A $95 million investment in Pomona, California to add capacity to its legacy Electrical Products factory. A $36 million investment in our Wendell, North Carolina facility to expand its fabrication capacities, customer experience and workforce training. A $220 million investment in a new rail manufacturing facility in Lexington, North Carolina to establish a bicoastal “Made in America” rail manufacturing footprint. And an expansion of our existing Electrical Products manufacturing plant in Grand Prairie, Texas to meet booming demand for the electrification of critical infrastructure.

Siemens investments in U.S. manufacturing and infrastructure go beyond individual projects—they are a strategic force behind our efforts to meet the rapid growth of America’s energy needs and the broader economy. By leveraging cutting-edge technologies, Siemens is driving digitalization and automation, enhancing efficiency, and creating thousands of skilled jobs across the nation. These initiatives support critical sectors like energy and transportation, helping to strengthen America’s leadership in global manufacturing and innovation. Siemens is proud to play a central role in modernizing U.S. infrastructure and ensuring its long-term competitiveness in the digital age.
