With its locations in Erlangen and Nuremberg, as well as Forchheim, Fürth, Lauf a.d. Pegnitz, and Amberg, the Nuremberg metropolitan region is among the most important and tradition-rich sites of the company.
The promotion of education and science, social and humanitarian causes, as well as art and culture, is therefore a special concern of Siemens AG. Through the commitment of the Erlangen/Nuremberg Regional Office, the company aims to contribute to a high quality of life for local people and to create an attractive location for its employees. Starting with support for social projects, through the coordination of school partnerships, to the promotion of scientific events and cultural projects, the Regional Office supports a wide spectrum of initiatives in the region.

Veronika Bienert has been Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Siemens AG since April 1, 2026. Effective June 1, 2026, she additionally assumed the role of spokesperson for the Nuremberg Metropolitan Region within the Managing Board of Siemens AG.
“Across the Metropolitan Region, 38,000 Siemens colleagues are developing innovative technologies for customers around the globe and making a significant contribution to our company’s success. That fills me with pride. As a native of Nuremberg, I feel a strong personal connection to this community. I look forward to representing Siemens in the region and to shaping the future together through shared experiences, ideas, and perspectives.”
Veronika began her career at Siemens in 1993 with a commercial apprenticeship at the company’s headquarters. After graduating as an industrial management assistant, she took on numerous leadership roles and gained international experience across various business units and countries – including Hong Kong, Russia, and Germany.
In 2008, Veronika assumed her first CFO position within the company and served as CFO for the Russia and Central Asia region until 2012. This was followed by several CFO positions within Siemens, including Division CFO for Industry Automation and CFO of the Mainline Transport business unit. In both roles, Veronika worked in the Nuremberg Metropolitan Region – for Industry Automation in Nuremberg-Moorenbrunn and for Mainline Transport in Erlangen. In addition, she was responsible for the commercial management of the German sales and service organization for approximately two years.
In 2016, Veronika became CFO of Siemens Financial Services (SFS), where she was responsible for all market support functions, including risk management and finance. From 2021 to 2025, she served as CEO of SFS.
In October 2024, Veronika was appointed to the Managing Board of Siemens AG, where she is responsible for the service portfolio of Siemens Financial Services, Siemens Real Estate, and Global Business Services. Since February 2023, Veronika has also been a member of the Supervisory Board of Siemens Healthineers AG.
