LGBTQIA+ Inclusion

Siemens is a safe, supportive place for LGBTQIA+ colleagues. We condemn all forms of discrimination, including gender, identity and representation.

Welcoming all our people

Celebrating and supporting our LGBTQIA+ community and allies isn’t just something we reserve for Pride Month. It’s something we do the entire year through the awareness sessions we offer, observances we honor and initiatives we run. Around the world, we make visible the topics that our people hold dear — amplifying their voices. As we raise awareness about our personal experiences, we build empathy and a sense of belonging for all our people globally.

The global Siemens Pride network

The network started in 2011 in Brunswick, Germany, and has grown to more than 1,400 members. There are also many local and equally active Pride networks that welcome and support LGBTQIA+ colleagues and allies around the world. Our ERGs are open to everyone. Follow Siemens Pride on LinkedIn and Facebook.

Trans* at work program

Our German program, Trans* at work, supports our people with collegial counseling before, during and after transition. We created guidelines for our people and managers and partnered with our LGBTQIA+ community to establish Trans Advocates who serve as a first point of contact for the program, inspiring other countries to pursue similar programs at Siemens in accordance with applicable laws. We have also enabled a global functionality for our people to voluntarily indicate their preferred name and pronouns in our company directory.

Standing for inclusion

We support the UN Standards of Conduct for Business Tackling Discrimination against LGBTIQ+ People. Our work environment is open to all who honor the values stated in our own Business Conduct Guidelines, and we take responsibility for those we serve, ensuring safety and respect. Siemens has also signed on with the Deutsche Aidshilfe #PositivArbeiten/#PositiveWork initiative as a declaration of respect and support of people with HIV in our workforce and beyond.

Belonging Days

Our Belonging Days bring together colleagues who share a common desire to create a more inclusive workplace. In April 2024, Ben Greene, a highly regarded transgender advocate and educator shared what it means to be transgender and how to be an ally for the trans community.

Actions speak louder than words

Across the company, in every role and function, we share the responsibility of creating a safe environment for self-expression and an inclusive workplace.

Pride Champion Platinum

Siemens achieved Platinum status as one of the top-ranked organizations, setting new standards for LGBTIQA+ inclusion in the PRIDE Index 2025. This is an improvement from our Gold status in 2024 and 2023.

Pride month 2025

Our campaign spotlighted the power of diverse teams, the value of authenticity and the importance of allyship. Under the banner of “Team Pride,” we shared inspiring stories from Siemens colleagues around the world.

In 2024, Siemens Switzerland was awarded the Swiss LGBTI-Label, a best-practice standard that distinguishes organizations promoting equality for LGBTI people within the company.

Pride 21-Day Challenge

Our Pride 21-Day Challenge collected podcasts, movies and articles related to LGBTQIA+ topics recommended by our colleagues. Many of our peers also shared how they stand up and advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community.

At Siemens, our global belonging initiatives operate in accordance with all applicable laws.
