What’s New in Building X – June 2026 Release

1. Energy Manager now achieves ISO 50001 certification

Building X Energy Manager has now achieved ISO 50001 certification, building on its previous ISO 50K certification and reinforcing its position as a trusted solution for systematic, data-driven energy management. The certification validates our structured approach to monitoring, managing, and continually improving energy performance across buildings and portfolios.

Why this matters:

  • Enhances accuracy: Automates data extraction for more reliable sustainability reporting and analysis

Additional Features:

  • Budget planning and analysis: Compare actual vs planned costs and consumption with forecasting and budget tracking capabilities

The latest Building X Occupancy Manager enhancement introduces an AI-based schedule recommendation widget. By analyzing forecasted occupancy patterns, it suggests building schedules for Eco and Comfort modes over a two-week horizon.

Why this matters:

  • Optimized operations: Aligns building schedules with usage patterns, balancing energy savings and occupant comfort
  • Data-driven planning: Leverages AI forecasts to enable smart schedule adjustments

Additional Features:

  • Harmonized dashboard & list view: Unified list view to analyze and compare occupancy data across spaces with line charts and downloadable datasets
  • Building schedule recommendation (beta): AI-based forecast of occupancy patterns with suggested building schedules (eco vs comfort modes)
