A concept was created for the operation of the hall that completely redefines energy generation and use. A photovoltaic system with an output of 87.4 kWp was installed on the roof – matched to its load-bearing capacity and condition. 40 percent of the annual
electricity demand is covered by the PV system alone, 73 percent of the electricity generated is used for self-use. For the heating of the hall, two air heat pumps replaced the old oil boiler. The two pumps together produce 100 kW. The primary system has an output of 85 kW, another with 25 kW absorbs heat or cooling load peaks.
