Today's electric power systems place high demands on both the equipment and those who handle it. Power can come from both the ever-growing distributed production and the classic power producers.

The course provides a basic introduction to diagram technique and is arranged over three days. Two of the days are set aside for theory, while day three is based on practical implementation of the theory part.

Basic course in DIGSI 5

DIGSI 5 is a PC-based software package for parameterization, commissioning and operation of SIPROTEC 5. The software package allows for a simple and clear graphical user interface that will simplify the work with this type of equipment. The course is therefore suitable for anyone who is, or will be, involved in the planning, commissioning and/or maintenance of SIPROTEC 5.

Course i SICAM Device Manager

SICAM 8 is the overall name of the energy automation platform developed by Siemens. The platform encompasses a variety of products and applications. The best known is the RTU series A8000, which is widely used as a gateway/RTU in the power supply, but recently SICAM 8 has been expanded with SICAM EGS, SICAM 8 SWS (Software Solution) and SICAM HMI, among others. The SICAM A8000 is a hardware platform in the SICAM 8 portfolio. In the A8000 series, there are four main modules, several communication modules, and a variety of I/O modules that have a wide range of applications. The A8000 uses a closed RTOS (Real-time Operating System) based on the Linux kernel. The A8000 series comes complete with the "S8000" application installed, which is the SICAM 8 platform's RTU and PLC functionality. SICAM 8 SWS consists of the SICAM 8 Core basic system and the SICAM S8000 application for RTU and PLC functionality. The S8000 application is the same software found in the RTU series of SICAM A8000. The difference between these two products is only the hardware and the operating system. SICAM 8 SWS is designed to run on an industrial PC or any hardware with a Linux distribution installed. This course will go through the setup of SICAM S8000 with the engineering software SICAM Device Manager. The starting point will be the setup of SICAM 8 SWS and SICAM A8000. The course provides a basic introduction to traditional Agenda within the protection principle and is just as suitable as a repetition for experienced relay protection technicians as an introduction for new relay protection technicians. The course is theoretically structured throughout.
