A real parent's perspective

Meet Charlotte Watson and her mother. As a parent, Charlotte's mother felt it was important for her daughter to consider all options for her future after expressing she did not want to attend university.

Many parents share the view of university being the main option for their children. Charlotte's mother shares misconceptions of apprenticeships from a parent’s perspective and what her daughter has been able to achieve at Siemens.

My time as an apprentice at Siemens gave me an environment where asking questions and sharing thoughts was the norm. I'm a firm believer that this was one of the biggest contributors to rapid knowledge development and a growing thirst for knowledge. Post-apprenticeship I take those values into my customer-facing role, allowing me to understand genuine manufacturing challenges and help create success for our customers.
