A secure, resilient and holistic network

Digitalization is transforming the energy sector, and Siemens' advanced cybersecurity solution, based on RUGGEDCOM, represents a significant milestone in our collaborative efforts with DEWA. 

Leveraging our RUGGEDCOM products and cybersecurity solutions, we have devised a digital, holistic network solution for DEWA substations.

RUGGEDCOM hardware performs at its best when the ambient environment is at its worst, while our software ensures secure access and network management for operational technology (OT) systems.

For example, RUGGEDCOM solutions operate reliably across a wide operating temperature range of -40 °C to +85 °C , which is a critical for seamless operations in the Middle East.

Critical infrastructure communications demand high-availability and cannot tolerate downtime of even a few milliseconds. RUGGEDCOM offers solutions for fault-tolerant networks that maximize network availability in case of a failure.

Plus it does this without needing traditional features like fans — meaning potential mechanical failure risk is eliminated.
