There are two subscription levels: Standard and Premium. These two levels allow us to cater to various client needs and budgets:

• The Standard subscription offers basic features around cost and consumption tracking, carbon emissions, basic reporting functionalities, and management of invoices and energy supply contracts.
• The Premium subscription adds the ability to track your decarbonization targets according to frameworks such as CRREM, SBTi and LL97, and adds energy efficiency and retrofit measures to plan the decarbonization of your portfolio.​

At any time, you can expand to other Building X apps or to Siemens service offerings to complement your needs.

Sustainability Manager uses cost and consumption data from monthly utility bill data, while Energy Manager uses real-time submeter and building automation system data.

Sustainability Manager is a strategic, top-down application that focuses on creating transparency on cost, consumption and emissions. It also focuses on decarbonization target tracking, ESG compliance and reporting requirements, and energy efficiency projects on a high level.

Energy Manager is a more operational, bottom-up application that focuses on energy performance on the building device and equipment level. It facilitates corrective actions based on access to real-time equipment data and it can identify anomalies, inefficiencies and more accurately predict budget overruns.

Sustainability Manager helps guide you along your sustainability journey. We work with global building portfolio customers (owners and operators) and C-suite executives, such as sustainability directors or consultants, capital planners and procurement managers as well as facility managers.

In addition, service providers interested in the tool can further enable their sustainability and energy optimization service offerings to portfolio customers.

Building X Sustainability Manager helps achieve net-zero goals by providing a comprehensive platform for tracking and managing energy consumption, carbon emissions and energy budgets. It provides tools to help you gain transparency and insight into energy usage, enabling you to monitor progress toward sustainability goals in real time.

The application also supports the identification of energy savings opportunities, helping you make informed decisions to optimize resource use and reduce your organization's carbon footprint.

More standards and regulations get added with every release. Three current examples of supported standards include:

CRREM (Carbon Risk Real Estate Monitor) is available globally and offers a detailed decarbonization tracking solution.

SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative) is a simplified version of the CRREM tool. It is available globally.

Local Law 97 is legislation in New York City supporting the Climate Mobilization Act, for which buildings over 25,000 square feet are required to meet energy efficiency and greenhouse gas emissions performance targets as of 2024.

We are also working on an early version for Facility Improvement Measures that supports customer-defined decarbonization/facility improvement measures for their buildings.

Sustainability Manager focuses on utility bill data, as sustainability typically requires monthly or yearly consumption. We work with data connectors such as Siemens’ Utility Bill Management Platform. Utility bill data can be uploaded in app or onboarded via templates for bulk import.

Further, Sustainability Manager supports connectors to live onsite submeter or BAS data; for example, from Siemens Navigator or Energy Manager. To add live onsite submeter or BAS data, you need the Building X Energy Manager API subscription or Navigator.

We provide global energy services that support clients in achieving their decarbonization goals. Through Siemens utility, energy supply and sustainability management services, we support clients in collecting, validating and auditing data. We ensure high-quality data integrity for reporting, which is leveraged to identify renewable supply and efficiency optimization opportunities that enable sustainability objectives to be realized. Sustainability Manager provides clients with an on-demand tool that supports them in achieving their goals and objectives.
