After this date, S7-300 system components can only be purchased as spare parts or returned for repair. We reserve the right to supply certain components exclusively on an exchange basis for defective parts. Please note that components can only be ordered in the standard quantities applicable to spare parts. The supply of components for the expansion of existing installations or for the construction of new systems is not possible.

For this reason, migration of existing systems to the recommended solutions based on the newer SIMATIC S7-1500 product family is strongly recommended. The PM490 status, which represents the end of production and sales of the S7-300 system, is scheduled for October 1, 2033. If a specific quantity of such components is required beyond the PM490 phase, it is generally possible to enter into an individual long-term agreement in advance. In such cases, technical support, repair services, and parts availability can only be guaranteed under the terms of a separate individual agreement.

For several years, the innovative WinCC Unified visualization system family has been under development, including the Unified Comfort panel equivalents. As the architectures of the two systems differ, direct migration of visualizations between them is not possible. To simplify this process as much as possible, Siemens has developed dedicated engineering tools to support migration.These tools can also be used to migrate from HMI Basic 2nd generation to Unified Basic, as well as from WinCC Runtime Advanced to WinCC Runtime Unified.

Data2Unified

As visualizations in Basic 2nd generation, Comfort, and WinCC Advanced systems are based on a different architecture than WinCC Unified, direct copying of objects between these systems is not possible. This transfer is enabled by the Data2Unified tool, built on TIA Portal Openness. Use it to transfer most data, objects, screens, and their properties to the Unified system.

SINAMICS V90 Is Being Discontinued. Meet Its Successor – SINAMICS S200

Starting October 1, 2026, Siemens will begin the phase-out process of the SINAMICS V90 servo drive system in regions outside China. This solution, which has been widely used for years in applications requiring precise positioning and reliable motion control, will gradually be replaced by the modern SINAMICS S200 servo drive system.SINAMICS S200 represents the next generation of standard Siemens servo drives. The system consists of the SINAMICS S200 drive, SIMOTICS S-1FL2 motors, and MOTION-CONNECT 350 / 380 cables. For new applications and planned machine upgrades, we recommend considering SINAMICS S200 already at the project concept stage.

SINAMICS S200 has been designed as a standard single-axis AC/AC servo drive system for motion control applications. Compared to SINAMICS V90, it offers a more modern architecture, higher dynamics, easier commissioning, and greater readiness for digitalization.

Products from the SINAMICS V90 family will gradually move through the subsequent stages of the Siemens Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) process.

For existing installations, users should verify spare parts availability, article number status, and service plans through the latest information available in Siemens Industry Online Support and SiePortal.

For new applications and planned modernization projects, migration to SINAMICS S200 is recommended.

Migration planning should begin early, as the replacement selection process should take into account power rating, supply voltage, communication version, motor inertia, cable configuration, brake requirements, and specific application demands.

Migration: What Should Be Prepared Before Selecting a Replacement?

When replacing SINAMICS V90 with SINAMICS S200, it is advisable to collect the key application data in advance. This helps avoid incorrect sizing and reduces the time required to prepare a technical proposal.

• MLFB numbers of the existing drive, motor, and cables.
• Supply voltage and axis power rating
• Communication version: PROFINET or Pulse Train Input (PTI).
