Smart, connected luxury resort operations

Managing a portfolio of luxury resorts requires balancing exceptional guest experiences with efficient operations and sustainability goals. For H Hotels Collection, one of Greece's leading hospitality groups, reaching that balance meant creating greater visibility across its eight luxury properties.

A collaborative approach to digital transformation

Since 2018, H Hotels Collection has partnered with Siemens and Siemens Advanced Partner PGS IKE to implement its connected building infrastructure strategy across eight luxury resorts.

PGS IKE is a trusted specialist in electrical engineering and building automation, delivering innovative and sustainable solutions for the hospitality sector. With extensive expertise in Siemens technologies, the company integrates diverse building systems into a single intelligent platform, helping hotels optimize energy management, climate control, water systems, and core building operations.

Together, Siemens and PGS IKE developed a connected infrastructure that unifies building automation, energy management, and operational data, giving H Hotels Collection the visibility and intelligence needed to optimize performance across its entire portfolio.

A connected approach to hotel operations

Across its eight luxury resorts, H Hotels Collection manages more than 177,000 square meters of building space. Connecting operations at this scale means bringing together 76,000 data points and 330 electricity meters across the portfolio.

Hotel teams can manage critical building operations while gaining the information they need to understand performance and make more informed decisions. Intelligent automation supports the day-to-day operation of each property, while digital tools provide insights across the wider portfolio.

Centralized portfolio control, without compromising guest comfort

To provide the unified view that H Hotels Collection required, Siemens worked with PGS IKE to deliver centralized monitoring and control of building systems through Desigo CC. This was supported by KNX technologies for intelligent lighting and HVAC control, offering guest comfort alongside improved energy efficiency, and Building X Energy Manager, with 74 electricity meters onboarded for energy and emissions monitoring.

During the renovations, PGS IKE modernized H Hotels Collection’s water management systems using Siemens drives, soft starters and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). The team also upgraded low-voltage electrical infrastructure with new Siemens low-voltage (LV) panels. This transformative work was delivered with minimal disruption to the guest experience.

H Hotels Collection had a clear vision of where it wanted to go, Siemens provided the right technologies, and PGS took responsibility for implementation and day-to-day support. There was continuous communication, trust and a shared commitment to achieving the desired results.

Data-driven energy management across eight resorts

Building X Energy Manager brings every resort’s energy data into one platform, connected directly to the Desigo CC systems already in place. H Hotels Collection can compare performance across resorts, track trends and use anomaly detection to identify unusual energy consumption.

With energy costs and CO₂ emissions in one place, teams can prioritize improvements and simplify sustainability and compliance reporting.

Building the future of sustainable hospitality

For H Hotels Collection, digitalization is not simply about technology deployment. It is about creating a smarter, more sustainable way to operate hospitality environments.

Through intelligent automation and data-driven operations, the group is creating hotels that are more efficient, more responsive, and more sustainable without compromising the premium guest experience. Their journey demonstrates that the future of hospitality is not defined by choosing between operational excellence and sustainability, but by bringing them together.

Siemens’ brand and reputation for reliability were what initially led us to choose the company. Once our collaboration began, we saw the improvements in our sustainability and efficiency both in practice and in the numbers. Most importantly, we found a partner that understands our needs and helps us continue to evolve.
