Winergy is a complete wind drive system company headquartered in Voerde, Germany, with its own assembly plants and service centres in Germany, the USA, India and China. Since its establishment 26 years ago, it has provided about 40,000 wind turbine gearboxes to countries all over the world. Winergy, as an expert in complex solutions, ensures a harmonious fit between gearboxes, couplings and frequency converters. In February 2006, Winergy assembly plant located in Tianjin, the wind energy capital of China, was brought online. It adopts advanced process technology, with an annual assembly capacity of more than 2,000 megawatts and a total test-bench power of 7 megawatts. More than 1,000 gearboxes have already been assembled to the same high quality as at all Winergy assembly plants. In order to meet the rapid development of China's wind power market, the second phase of the WDST expansion project has begun and is expected to be brought online in 2010, greatly increasing production capacity.

Siemens Sensor & Communication Co., Ltd., located in Qixianling, Dalian High-tech Industrial Park, was established on 17 October 2006 and is wholly-owned by Siemens (China) Co., Ltd. The factory covers an area of about 40,000 square metres and has a construction area of about 15,000 square meteres, of which the plant area is about 7,000 square metres. The company was officially brought into operation in August 2007.
SSCL is the fifteenth plant of Siemens Industrial Automation & Drive Technologies in China and the second plant of the Sensors & Communications Department in China. Products will be synchronised with Siemens plants in Germany, France, Canada and Denmark in terms of variety, specifications, performance, quality and technical standards.
The main business of Siemens Sensor & Communication Co., Ltd. is as follows:
- Manufacture of industrial process instrumentation, such as flow meters, pressure transmitters, level sensors and dynamic weighing products. Dalian has all the necessary testing equipment;
