Our involvement in the region dates back almost 140 years. The company's name first became known through the construction of the Indo-European telegraph line from London to Calcutta in 1870 which also passed through Karachi. Siemens' first office in what is today Pakistan opened in 1922 in Lahore. Since the inception of Pakistan we have been partners in the progress of Pakistan, contributing significantly towards the creation of much needed infrastructure in the country.
