We have been growing together with Poland
35 years of Siemens technology
1997-1999
Modernization of the steel and mining industries
through the implementation of SIMATIC S7 controllers and WinCC visualization systems. For steelworks and mines, this meant greater process stability and improved quality control.
2005
In Gdańsk, Poland’s first 20‑slice SOMATOM Sensation Open CT scanner was launched, together with a virtual simulation system. This was a moment when Polish medicine began to enter imaging standards.
2011
35 Inspiro trains for the Warsaw Metro. First time on such a scale, global technology was combined with local assembly (with part of the assembly carried out by NEWAG). This strengthened industrial competences in the country.
2011-2012
In the new terminal of Wrocław Airport, an automated baggage handling and sorting system was implemented, based on PLC controllers and supervisory systems. This meant higher throughput and more efficient passenger handling.
2012
PGE Narodowy Stadium, commissioned ahead of UEFA Euro 2012, required an integrated system for managing technical installations and safety infrastructure. Large public facilities began to be managed like intelligent organisms.
2013
Czajka Wastewater Treatment Plant operated by MPWiK Warsaw. The expansion of ‘Czajka’ was one of the largest environmental projects in Poland after 1989. Process automation played a key role.
2016
Commissioning of the modern VW Crafter factory. Września plant was one of the largest industrial projects of the decade. Automation, robotics ,digital production management were designed from the outset as an integrated system.
2018
A new, efficient and environmentally friendly gas‑fired combined‑cycle unit for the CHP plant in Gorzów Wielkopolski. At the time, it was one of the most advanced facilities of its kind in Poland.
2019
The Mercedes engine factory in Jawor represents a higher level of technology and automation, initiating a new generation of plants where digital control and data analytics are standard.
2022
P180 building is being built in Warsaw: A modern, energy-efficient A-class office building with a full Siemens building automation system. The first building in Poland in which energy efficiency solutions have been implemented.
2023
The construction of the 400kV Choczewo substation began in 2023 and is planned for 2025–2027. It is the largest station under construction in Poland, with an area of about 25 ha.
2025
A multi-year LTSA service agreement was signed between Grupa Azoty and Siemens Polska, covering most of Siemens' deliveries in the electrical industry.
Siemens Ecosystem in Poland
Technology and people – only such a combination guarantees success. Every day brings thousands of interactions between our employees, clients, and partners. Each of these individuals has a real impact on how Polish industry and infrastructure have changed over the past 35 years.
1 688 employees
11 000 customers
68 partners
Our ecosystem also includes young talents just entering the job market. We actively support students of technical fields and invest in the knowledge, courage, and professional self-confidence of those who will soon drive Polish industry.
6 Siemens Academies
8 editions of the Engineers Program
1 (inaugural) edition of the Grant Program
Did you know that…
101 million
Kilometers traveled by all Siemens locomotives in the hands of Polish operators:.
- "It's as if Siemens locomotives had crossed Poland from south to north over 156,000 times."
438 number of Inspiro metro cars
the number of Inspiro metro cars on M1 and M2 in Warsaw – the first single-deck metro in Poland produced jointly with the Nowy Sącz company Newag.
Behind every technology, there are people
Hundreds of Siemens experts in Poland design, implement and develop solutions every day that transform reality. It is their knowledge, passion and dedication that form the foundation of our success.
ROBERT GÓRAL:
“After all these years, one thing matters most to me: consistency and collaboration. Within an organisation, structures, people and priorities naturally change. But for our customers, what should be visible is stability, predictability and continuity. A brand is not built with a single contract, but through a constant level of quality and long‑term relationships.”
MARIUSZ KONDRACIUK:
“What I value most about working at Siemens is the people. Over all these years, I’ve worked with individuals with very different temperaments, competencies and perspectives. Regardless of these differences, I have always been able to find common ground with stakeholders — customers, partners and teams. I learned the most from them. It’s people who continue to give me energy and motivation to keep moving forward.”
WIESŁAWA CZARNECKA‑STAŃCZAK:
“After 25 years at Siemens, I am most proud of the collection of experiences and the many fascinating projects — not only in IT, but also in development, such as the Siemens Mentoring Programme. And above all, I’m grateful for the opportunity to meet so many remarkable people! I learned a great deal from them — about business, about managing an organisation, about relationships, and also about myself.”
