Each party along the supply chain calculates its emissions, requests supply chain emissions from suppliers (or estimates values items of lowest criticality) and aggregates the data of its product's carbon footprint. That product carbon footprint is later shared with customers. Thereby, the data for each step is provided by the supply chain tier that controls the respective processes and emissions.

No. Data is encrypted and exchanged between customer and supplier. Neither SiGREEN nor any other company shall analyze or monetize anyone else's supply chain data.

SiGREEN uses high-end data security according to Siemens standards, backed by certifications and quality assurance processes. PCF information is only shared within existing business relationships. Data is exchanged only upon customer request, allowing suppliers to maintain control over what information is shared and ensuring data sovereignty. Suppliers retain the flexibility to evaluate and respond to each request on a case-by-case basis and always have the option to decline.

SiGREEN allows you to utilize secondary data for your estimations until the exchange with suppliers is completed or for parts where the carbon contribution is negligible. Additionally, SiGREEN enables you to use secondary data as a benchmark while suppliers continue to join the platform.

There are no license fees associated with SiGREEN — using basic functionalities is free of cost. Additional services like SiGREEN Connect or using the SiGREEN APIs come at an extra cost. We also provide support on obtaining secondary data as we work with third-party providers.
