Skip Lockard serves as General Counsel of Siemens USA, where he guides the company’s combined U.S. team of legal, compliance, and intellectual property experts. In this role, he is responsible for providing strategic advice that both advances and protects Siemens’ businesses, operations, interests, and growth across the United States.
Since joining Siemens in 2011, Lockard has held a series of senior legal leadership roles spanning the company’s U.S. operations. Most recently, he served as U.S. Deputy General Counsel. During his tenure at Siemens, he has led key functions including U.S. litigation and the corporate legal team supporting governance, technology, procurement, communications, employment, and other central functions. He also previously served as lead U.S. counsel to Siemens’ former Industry Automation business, advising on complex commercial, regulatory, and technology matters.
Prior to Siemens, Lockard was a partner at Alston & Bird, based in Atlanta, where he focused on litigation and regulatory issues for a range of industrial clients.
Lockard holds a bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University and a Juris Doctor from University of Virginia School of Law.
