Doug Maher

President and Chief Executive Officer, Siemens Financial Services, Inc.

Doug Maher is President and CEO of Siemens Financial Services, Inc. (SFS, Inc.), the U.S. financing arm of Siemens Financial Services (SFS), with responsibility for the Americas. He is also CEO of SFS’s Project & Structured Finance Americas business unit, which provides debt financing—including corporate lending, project finance, and structured finance solutions—to clients across the region. Prior to this role, Doug served as Chief Risk Officer (CRO) of SFS, Inc.

Previously, Maher served as CRO of the global Industry and Healthcare Finance business at SFS, evaluating and mitigating financial risk for the company’s transactions in global healthcare and industrial markets.

Maher’s international experience includes a broad range of senior management, underwriting, portfolio, originations, asset management, and deal negotiation positions throughout all phases of risk management across multiple industries.

Maher formerly held the role of the Head of Risk for Corporate and Working Capital Finance at SFS in North America. In this position, he most notably established the leveraged finance business line, including the credit process and standards for underwriting and managing cash flow and asset backed transactions, growing the business significantly.

Prior to joining Siemens in 2008, Maher was Managing Director and Chief Underwriting Officer at Deutsche Bank, where he focused on mid-market lending. Before that, he was Managing Director and Chief Credit Officer of Commercial Finance at CIT in London. Before joining CIT, Maher held various leadership positions within Credit Suisse First Boston and JP Morgan & Co.

Doug holds a BBA and an MBA in public accounting from Pace University’s Lubin School of Business. He is a Certified Public Accountant and was previously licensed to trade and sell securities, such as bonds.
