Regulators are setting new requirements, such as the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), which places biodiversity alongside climate and social disclosure as part of corporate accountability. Customers are asking for products that protect water, soils, and ecosystems, recognising that their own futures depend on the resilience of these resources.
Technology provides practical ways to meet these expectations. Digitalization makes it possible to measure and share data on nature-related impacts. Automation and infrastructure solutions reduce emissions and resource use while easing pressure on ecosystems. Partnerships extend these benefits across sectors, enabling outcomes that are supportive for biodiversity to scale. These controlled environments allow precise management of light, humidity, and irrigation, reducing land and water demand while ensuring a reliable food supply close to urban centres.
In Australia, researchers at the Australian Institute of Marine Science are using our control systems to replicate natural conditions for coral spawning. This work helps scientists understand how corals adapt under climate stress and supports efforts to restore reefs that protect coastlines and sustain fisheries.
In India and Indonesia, Plastic Fischer is enhancing operational transparency, enabling the tracking of waste collection, monitoring site performance, and validating impact metrics.
