Rusch Maschinenteile operates several DMG MORI machines in its production facilities in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The latest machine added to the fleet was a CTX beta 450 TC, which is capable of turning and milling, gear cutting, grinding, and in-process measuring. Moreover, this DMG MORI machine is controlled with Sinumerik One and is thus able to benefit from Digital Twin technology. Among the advantages are smooth operations, even when the machine is pushed to its limits. Through a reduction in cycle time, Rusch Maschinenteile has experienced around 20 percent higher performance.
Machine programming is now also more efficient, because data from the 3D model of a workpiece can be loaded into Sinumerik One. 3D Shopfloor Programming analyzes all relevant geometric characteristics and selects the appropriate machining cycles. This process eliminates up to 80 percent of manual programming tasks.
Rusch Maschinenteile is just one example of how the Siemens Xcelerator Ecosystem empowers businesses to thrive. With digitalization solutions readily available on the Siemens Xcelerator Marketplace, companies can now more easily meet market demands and drive sustainability.
