At Siemens Mobility in Berlin-Treptow, advanced rail automation systems are developed and manufactured for both trackside infrastructure and rolling stock.

The portfolio includes interlocking and signaling systems, switch technologies, and on-board units – the safety-critical core of modern rail vehicles. Siemens experts in Berlin play a key role in shaping the future of rail automation, contributing to the development of European Train Control System (ETCS) specifications and Automatic Train Operation (ATO) solutions – essential building blocks for highly automated rail transport. The site also serves as a global training hub: interlocking and ETCS systems installed on-site are used to train customers from around the world.
