In 2000, after 42 years of partnership with the Koc Group, SIMKO A.S. was transformed into a wholly owned Siemens subsidiary and renamed Siemens Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S.
The Healthcare Sector maintained its market leadership position, thanks to projects throughout Turkey. The Sector completed the Ministry of Health’s project, delivering a computed tomography (CT) package with 40 pieces. In addition, a key project was signed with the Kolan Hospital to provide imaging and clinical equipment for two new hospitals in Istanbul. Two of the key highlights of fiscal year 2012 were the Ataturk University project, which involves two modalities with Magnetom Skyra and Definition Flash as well as a project signed with Acibadem Hospital for 17 new, high-end ultrasound systems.
