An investment fund collects money from multiple investors. The fund manager invests the money according to a specific strategy, for example in equities or bonds. The value of your investment depends on the performance of the individual securities. A major advantage of investing in investment funds is risk diversification - the more different securities are contained in the fund, the better the risk is distributed.
- Risk diversification: Your money is spread across many different securities, so you don't put all your eggs in one basket - even with small amounts.
- Flexibility: When investing in investment funds from Siemens Fonds Invest GmbH, you don't encounter lock-up periods or minimum terms. You can flexibly adjust your savings plan, make one-time payments, or set up a withdrawal plan.
- Transparency: All important information, including a detailed asset statement for the respective investment fund, can be found on our website at any time.
- Insolvency protection: Your money is held segregated in a so called "contractual investment fund (Sondervermögen)," which means the money of investors is kept separate from the assets of the fund company at an external custodian. Should the fund company encounter financial problems, your investments remain unaffected.
Detailed information, including brochures and explanatory videos, can be found on the website of BVI (German Investment Funds Association) at www.bvi.de.
When purchasing fund units, a one-time purchase fee, the so-called entry fee (in German: Ausgabeaufschlag), may be incurred, as well as a redemption fee (or exit fee) when redeeming fund units. The amount of these fees depends on the type of fund - for equity funds, the entry fee is usually 5% of the investment amount. Siemens Fonds Invest GmbH does neither charge an entry fee nor a redemption fee for its investment funds.
Additionally, there is an ongoing charge for managing the fund. These costs vary depending on the fund - equity funds usually have higher costs than funds that invest in fixed-income securities. Siemens Fonds Invest GmbH keeps these costs low; information about the costs can be found in the respective fund information (for example, in the fact sheet or on the fund subpage).
Depending on the bank, there may also be a custody fee. This is charged by the respective bank independently of the fund company.

To buy a fund, you need a securities account, which you can open with a bank or an online broker. Through this account, you can buy the fund units directly from the fund company.
While purchasing through the stock exchange is often possible, it is usually not ideal for private individuals as there may be price differences and additional fees.
You can use your existing securities account if your bank offers our funds. You can easily check this in your online banking. Each fund has a unique identification number (ISIN/WKN) that begins with "DE" and is listed in the fund documents.
Important: Make sure that the purchase is ideally made directly from the fund company. Purchasing through the stock exchange is often unfavorable for private individuals (due to price differences and additional fees).
If you are unsure, ask your bank.
