• HOPA helps medical controllers and resource managers monitor patient processes. It detects when patients are waiting too long, scheduled appointments are being missed, staff are overworked and beds, OR or major medical equipment are underutilized, so that corrective measures can be taken promptly.
• HOPA enables the continuous measurement of staff workload indicators in relation to the current volume of services and helps identify the frequency, intensity and duration of staff overload. The same applies to the frequency, intensity, and duration of capacity reserves.
• HOPA allows you to look not only at the past but also into the future. For example, by analyzing data on scheduled procedures, it is possible to identify gaps in utilization or overbooking of operating room capacity days or even weeks in advance, enabling steps to be taken to balance capacity.
• HOPA features dynamic scheduling monitoring for patient flow. Based on planned patient throughput figures, relative target values can be defined—for example, for admission management, OR throughput, or discharge management—which are used to measure deviations between planned and actual schedules.
• HOPA can be used by hospitals of any size. Options include integrating the solution into the existing controlling, IT and data warehouse systems, using a cloud-based solution, or utilizing custom-built reports after the required raw data has been provided.
