SIMOTICS S‑1FK2 is a compact, cost‑optimized servomotor series with fewer variants. 1FT2 is a larger portfolio with more torque classes, environmental variants and speed options. This allows the essential challenges in servo drive technology to be addressed. They form the core of the new servomotor portfolio.

The SIMOTICS S-1FT2 servomotors offer a comprehensive range of finely graded torque stages and rated speeds, as well as numerous options and variants to precisely solve the diverse challenges in drive technology. 1FT2 motors represent the complete solution even for demanding tasks or for applications in challenging environments.

Both motor series integrate seamlessly with SINAMICS S120/S220 via the DRIVE‑CLiQ interface. The electronic motor nameplate enables automatic parameterization, while two‑cable connection technology, rotatable connectors and SPEED-CONNECT features provide quick wiring, fast commissioning and reliable operation.

The motor portfolio provides three tailored inertia classes — low, medium and high inertia — allowing machine builders to optimize acceleration behavior, stability and control accuracy.

• Low rotor inertia offers the highest acceleration and fastest cycle time for small moving masses.
• Medium rotor inertia enables precise and stable closed‑loop control for medium to large moved masses. The motors deliver high power density in a compact design.
• Increased rotor inertia (high inertia) provides robust control even with very large or variable load inertia.

Two‑cable technology (2CC) is the standard for SINAMICS S120/S220, while single‑cable technology (OCC) is supported on SINAMICS S210 and depends on the motor type.
