SENTRON 3VA molded case circuit breakers provide reliable overload, short-circuit, and selective protection functions for low-voltage power distribution systems. Various trip units (thermal-magnetic or electronic) support long-time, short-time, instantaneous, and ground-fault protection.

Thanks to high breaking capacity and a comprehensive accessory platform, the devices protect cables as well as motors, generators, and starters in industrial, infrastructure, and commercial buildings.

The new SENTRON 3VA2 plus and SENTRON 3VA6 plus MCCBs also offer additional protection functions such as DAS+ (Dynamic Arc-flash Sentry+) maintenance mode for enhanced personnel safety in the cubicle, an extended adjustment range for overcurrent parameters, and a second parameter set (available for ETUs of series 6, 7, and 9 only) for fast and precise adaptation to changing requirements.

The SENTRON 3VA series is a modular, highly versatile platform with over 500 accessory components, including auxiliary switches, shunt trips, undervoltage releases, communication modules, mounting kits, test devices, and remote controllers. Many accessories are common across frame sizes, simplifying planning, reducing inventory complexity, and speeding up installation and commissioning.

Depending on the version, SENTRON 3VA molded case circuit breakers can be connected to automation and energy management systems via modular plug-in interfaces for common protocols such as Modbus TCP/RTU, PROFINET, and PROFIBUS.

In addition, the new state-of-the-art interfaces such as USB-C and wireless communication (including Bluetooth®) enable wireless connection to higher-level systems via the SENTRON Powercenter 1100/2000 data transceiver. Furthermore, communication modules allow the transmission of status data, measured values, alarms, and diagnostic data to higher-level systems or access via an integrated web server in the communication modules.

SENTRON 3VA electronic trip units (ETUs) of series 3, 5, and 8 provide integrated measuring functions for current, voltage, and power. In combination with communication modules and suitable software, they enable transparent status monitoring, diagnostics, and integration into energy management systems.

The new SENTRON 3VA2 plus and SENTRON 3VA6 plus molded case circuit breakers, with their ETUs of series 4, 7, and 9, offer a clear plus in possibilities:

SENTRON Powerconfig enables the parameterization, documentation, and operation of devices within a single software tool. The SENTRON Powerconfig Mobile app also allows direct access to devices via Bluetooth, making it ideal for flexible on-site operation.

Core functions of SENTRON Powerconfig are also available in the TIA Portal, enabling direct integration into industrial automation environments and higher-level energy management systems via standardized networks. In addition, the Electrical Designer in TIA Selection Tool Cloud supports the fast, simple, and reliable design of electrical equipment for machines.

SENTRON Powercenter 1100/2000 data transceivers form the basis for data acquisition and efficient condition monitoring. They collect energy and status data from devices via Bluetooth and reliably transmit them to higher-level systems such as the plug-and-operate solution SENTRON Powercenter 3000 and the energy management system SENTRON Powermanager.

SENTRON Powercenter 3000 provides energy monitoring functionality by clearly visualizing and analyzing collected data, giving users a quick overview of energy flows and system status and enabling targeted identification of optimization potential.

SENTRON Powermanager enables comprehensive ISO 50001-compliant energy management with advanced functions. In combination with the latest protection, switching, and measuring devices from the SENTRON portfolio, it increases transparency and availability in low-voltage power distribution systems and contributes significantly to improving energy efficiency in accordance with national and international standards.
